WHere it all began...

This Beerception project has been in the making for almost three years now with our friends at Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Company. 


Last year we released our first batch of 1.21 Gigawatts Whiskey alongside our collaboration beer, 1.21 Gigawatts Oatmeal Stout. After we emptied some of the original 1.21 whiskey barrels we filled them with the 1.21 beer to barrel-age over the last 15 months. ALAS, BEERCEPTION!

What is Beerception, you ask?

Step one - Brew a beer - 1.21 Gigawatts Oatmeal Stout

Step two - Distill that beer into a whiskey

Step three - Age that whiskey in new American Oak barrels

Step four - Bottle the whiskey - 1.21 Gigawatts whiskey

Step five - Brew the original beer once again & let it condition in the whiskey barrels

Step six - Empty the barrels and bottle the beer!

And there you have it, Beerception! 

The results are rich, velvety, and decadent with flavors of vanilla, oak, whiskey, and dark chocolate. We hope you enjoy!
